Extractions and Bone Grafting in the Plan
If a failing tooth still needs to come out, or if bone has thinned where a tooth has been missing for a while, extraction and bone grafting are written into the plan up front rather than discovered along the way. A graft rebuilds the support an implant needs and usually heals for a few months before placement.
Immediate Placement After Extraction
When the socket is healthy and there is enough bone, the implant can sometimes be placed at the same visit the tooth is removed. That saves a separate surgery and months of waiting. CBCT imaging tells us before the appointment whether immediate placement is a reasonable choice for you.
Restoring Implants Placed Elsewhere
